The impact we have on the environment remains a hot topic, with almost daily news on the devestation of our planet, and how businesses can do more to improve their carbon footprint. Digital Copier Systems (Eastern) Limited are supporters of Konica Minolta's "Kind to the Planet" programme, holding ourselves accountable, and striving towards better work practices.
Every single piece of plastic on our machines is recycled at its end of lifecycle, with plant-based bioplastic featuring on our portfolio as standard. Plastic impact is in the news again today, with more being asked of companies to reduce their plastic uses. We have done this for a good while now, but we are reminded to see what else we can do.
"The Simitri toner cartridges we provide for our devices are approximately 9% plant-based resources, replacing petroleum-based resources. There is also no silicone in it, so that is not going into the environment either. This means that the toner fuses to the page at a lower temperature, keeping the device's temperature lower than other, cheaper models by other manufacturers. It also means that there is less stress to the paper, as it is not removing the moisture from the page, so it does not curl the page. Ultimately, these collectively reduce energy and resource needed to print your documentation and images."
